Amersfoort Zoo

1500 animals live in the forest of Amersfoort Zoo:

Rhinos, Elephants, Giraffes, Meerkats, Lions and various types of monkeys, actually there are too many animals to mention here.

Baby rhino Sunanda is one of the youngest residents of the Zoo. She can be admired close up together with mum Saar and dad Zimon. Elephant Kina has become a real toddler walking and running in amongst her mother and aunts through the Rijk der Reuzen. In the fall of 2012 a second baby elephant is expected to arrive.

In De Nacht you can discover nocturnal animals, and don’t pass by the Honderdduizend DierenHuis. Lizards, snakes, chameleons but also hundreds of thousands of ants can be found here.

In the DinoBos you’ll meet live size dino’s, like the 12 meter tall Brachiosaurus and for more fun you can enjoy one of the three playgrounds in the Zoo.

New in 2012: everyone into the trees!
From the spring of 2012 the visitors climb in the trees via the new climbing trial. The Zoo opens in the summer of 2012 the first part of this new climbing trail through the Zoo. This trail offers visitors the opportunity to see the animals from a unique perspective.
